MOUNTAIN RAILWAYS: PANORAMA AERIAL GONDOLA AND AERIAL CABLEWAY
The staff of both aerial cableways put heart and soul into guest comfort, care of their surroundings and a flawless infrastructure.
There are good reasons why Switzerland's aerial cableways are one of the country's safest means of transport. This is taken care of by the strict regulations of the Swiss Federal Office of Transport (BAV ) and the manufacturers – and also by the motivated and well-trained staff of PILATUS-BAHNEN who monitor and maintain the installations at regular intervals. A report on the monthly checks is sent to the BAV.
Not to be understimated is the daily cleaning and care of the panorama gondolas and aerial cableway cabins. The PILATUS-BAHNEN staff keep the facilitles from Kriens to Pilatus Kulm in top order and also take great care of the surroundings. In winter they are responsible for the 6 km long sledging piste from Fräkmüntegg down to Krienseregg and on to Kriens. The piste is marked and made safe, as well as being regularly prepared and checked.
Every year the aerial cableway transports around 200 tons of goods for the hotels and restaurants on Mount Pilatus
